The Porsche 918 Spyder is nearing its customer delivery date, which means we're seeing more and more of them on public roads. Observant reader Michael Fuschi spotted an example of the new car heading south from Los Angeles. BMW DesignworksUSA Intermarine 55 Yacht

Following on from their alliance with Siemens on the Metro Inspiro train, BMW DesignworksUSA have collaborated with Intermarine, Brazil's leading luxury yacht brand. Having previously designed sea-going vessels for Bavaria Yachts, a manufacturer of entry-level yachts, the Intermarine 55 is a move into the upper segment of the yacht market for the consultancy. "Intermarine is a famous connoisseur brand with a rich history, and to evolve its design forward with the Intermarine 55 is an honor," said Laurenz Schaffer, President of BMW Group DesignworksUSA.

Volvo has released details of an R-Design version of the XC60 Still, more power isn’t everyone’s cup of tea – particularly at the moment – but many buyers like a bit of ‘butchness’ in their cars. And to be completely fair to Volvo, although they haven’t messed with the oily bits for more oomph, they have played with the suspension for more feel. Volvo say the XC60 has improved steering (thanks to ‘Direct Steering Gear’), stiffer damping and a more robust chassis.
